Introduction
Applecroft Children's Centre was designated on 15th January 2008. Since the opening of our new purpose built area within the school in April we have been welcoming the very youngest children in our community and their families to our Centre on a daily basis.
Children's Centres offer services for 0-4 year olds and their families. Our aim is to “put children at our centre” through providing a seamless integrated service for all, from health visits and midwife care to toddler groups, adult learning, parent workshops and Jobcentre Plus.
A crucial part of our role in the community is to link with local providers of early year's education such as Childminders and Pre-schools, supporting their needs and bringing the whole community together for the good of all. Our business is improving outcomes for all children in the west Welwyn Garden City area. We recognise that bringing up a child is a demanding and sometimes isolating experience. Through attending one of our many groups either at the Children's Centre or in the community you can start to share the load. Why not look at some of the great things on offer or follow the links to many of the external sites highlighted here?
If you don't see what you need then give us a call or pop into the centre.
