Oftsed: Outstanding Award
This mark is awarded to schools achieving an 'outstanding' rating in all areas of an Oftsed inspection. Applecroft is very proud to have received this high level commendation after its December 2008 Ofsted inspection.
Eco Schools Silver Award
The Eco Schools award scheme recognises achievements in working towards a sustainable lifestyle. Pupils from the school are required to create an Action Team who initiate and monitor various eco-projects within the school and throughout the wider community.
Activemark
Activemark is an accreditation scheme for primary schools that recognises and rewards a school for its commitment to promoting the benefits of physical activity and offering good physical activity provision.
ArtsMark: Gold Award
Artsmark is a national award scheme managed by Arts Council England that recognises schools with a high level of provision in the arts. By gaining an Artsmark, a school shows its commitment to the wider development of young people and teachers and to raising the profile of the arts in the school and local community.
Becta ICT Mark
The ICT Mark is a nationally recognised scheme which gives schools recognition for their achievements in reaching a standard of maturity in their use of technology.

The National Healthy Schools Programme is an exciting long-term initiative making a significant difference to the health and achievement of children and young people.
Hertfordshire SSE Accredited School
Applecroft Primary School is an Accredited Self Evaluation school in Hertfordshire.
Handside Schools' Partnership
The Handside Schools' Partnership consists of Applecroft Primary School, Lakeside School & Stanborough Secondary School. The partnership helps to to benefit the students and staff at all three schools as well as (wherever possible) the local community.
