External Hirers

External Hire and Lettings at Applecroft School:

Applecroft School is committed to sharing its resources with the wider community and we are pleased to make our premises available for hire at any time they are not in use by our students for educational purposes.

 

The school hires a variety of its facilities which currently benefit a number of private users, community groups, clubs and organisations.

 

We are always interested in considering any ideas that you may have to put our facilities to good use out of school hours and would ask that you contact our Finance and Business Manager, Mrs Odette Coe, on 01707 323758, odette.coe@applecroft.herts.sch.uk who will be able to discuss these ideas further with you. 

 

Use of school premises for non-school activities:

Safeguarding at Applecroft School is paramount and 'everyone's responsibility'. The Governing Board will therefore need to ensure that those who hire our premises have appropriate safeguarding arrangements in place to keep children safe. 

 

All external hirers will be required to provide the Governing Board with a copy of their current safeguarding and child protection policy and procedures and assurances that relevant DBS checks have been carried out.

Facilities available to hire include:

The school offers good parking facilities for up to 39 cars.

 

Main Hall

Size:  12m by 16m

Seating capacity: 200 theatre style – 92 with tables and chairs.        

Features: Solid wood floor marked out to accommodate one badminton court. There is a separate stage area measuring: accessed by steps from the main hall area.     

 

 

 

Small Hall

Size:  11m by 9m

Seating capacity: 80 theatre style – 42 with tables and chairs

Features: A fully carpeted quiet area. Upright piano is available on request.

 

 

 

Dining Room

Size:  11m by 7m

Seating capacity: 90 with dining room tables and chairs

Features: Laminate flooring, dining tables and chairs are available on request.

Small Classroom

 

 

Playing Fields

Features: 1 marked pitch for 7 a-side football

 

 

Outdoor Courts

Features:    2 basketball courts with full markings                      

                   1 tennis court with full markings   

     

                                                                      

 

General information

All lettings are subject to the approval of the Headteacher and Governors

 

Damage Deposit

A damage deposit of £50.00 is required for all casual bookings.

 

Invoices

Invoices for casual hires are raised two weeks prior to the event taking place and full payment is expected 48 hours before the date of the hire.  Failure to make payment will result in the hiring being cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

For regular hiring's invoices will be raised monthly in arrears.
