Before School Clubs
Gymnastics is a sport that includes exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups.
Alertness, precision, daring, self-confidence, and self-discipline are mental traits that can also be developed through gymnastics.
Premier Education runs a Gymnastics club once a week for KS2.
Premier Education run an indoor athletics club in preparation for competitions which take place in the spring term.
Each year, the Welwyn and Hatfield Sports Partnership run a number of indoor athletics events and some of our older children practice before school in preparation for these events.
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams oppose one another on a rectangular court. They compete with the aim of shooting the basketball through the defender's hoop. This club is for years 5 and 6.
Table Tennis proved popular last term with our Y5 and Y6 children. Therefore due to popular demand a club now runs for Y3 and Y4.
Premier Education run hockey for our Y5 and 6 children. It's very popular and the children love it.
