Applying for a place at Applecroft Nursery

Nursery admissions are managed directly by the school. The timeline below details key dates within the admissions process for nursery places starting September 2025.

Timeline:

Applications for a place in our Nursery for September 2025 are to be made via a paper application form, which can either be downloaded or collected from the school office.

Once completed please return the form to the school by the closing date above. We would prefer applications to be emailed to odette.coe@applecroft.herts.sch.uk but if this is not possible please either hand in, at the main school office, a hard copy of the application form or send it through the post to Applecroft School, Applecroft Road, Welwyn Garden City, Herts, AL8 6JZ. 

Please be aware that completing an application form does not guarantee a place in our Nursery.

In the event that our admissions are oversubscribed, places will be allocated using the Nursery’s admissions criteria.

Unsuccessful Applications:

If an application is unsuccessful, you may request to go on the Nursery’s continuing interest list and as a space arises, the admission criteria will be applied again.

Late Applications:

If you miss the application deadline please, in the first instance, contact the school and they will be able to inform you if the Nursery has any available spaces. If you would then like to make an application please complete an application form and return it to the school as soon as possible.

In-Year Admissions

If your child has previously, or is currently attending, another nursery setting and you wish to apply for a place at Applecroft Nursery you will need to complete an in-year application form and return it to the school. We will contact you if a place is available and you meet our admissions criteria.

If a place is not available we would be happy for you to join our continuing interest list and as a space arises, the admission criteria will be applied again.
