Weekly Update 12th June 2020
Dear All,
Well done to everyone who has regularly attended school or Google Classroom or both, this week. The children are settling into a routine and enjoying the mixture of real life and virtual teaching. We are very proud of the way in which they are adapting to this new way of learning.
Many children are submitting their online assignments by the due dates given and working very hard. Please encourage your child to log in daily so they can see what is expected of them. For those few who have not yet been to a live lesson, it is quite easy to log in and then click on the meeting link when it appears just before 9.30 am. Please contact us if you need help.
Live lessons on Google Classroom next week will follow the same timetable.

After the daily live lesson there is plenty of work for the children to complete. The following assignments have been/will be set this week:
Maths Arithmetic: Fractions Calculations and Division Questions
Maths Geometry: Circles Quiz
English/ PSHCE: Anti- Racism Reflection
Science: Revision Quiz and Research Websites
Art: Habitat Hats Initial Ideas
Music: BBC Ten Pieces online lesson and quiz
In addition there is a folder of work for those not attending school, which includes a range of activities, including an arithmetic paper, two writing tasks and some art.
Mr Wyatt has asked us to let you know that as Year 6 pupils have missed the opportunity to do their usual cycle training in school this summer, the Hertfordshire Cycling Team is offering extra holiday courses this year. Please contact then to register your interest.

Finally, some of the children’s work and photographs are still being uploaded to the Applecroft website. We will soon be combining the two Y6 pages into one Year Group page so currently we are only updating one page (6 Moore) to save duplicating work.
