Universal Free School Meals

Nationally, all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free lunch at school – this initiative is known as a ‘Universal Free School Meals’.

Free School Meals

‘Free School Meals’ is an additional benefit available to families in receipt of certain ‘means tested’ benefits.  Free School Meals is accessible to children from Reception to Year 6.

Applications for free school meals can be made via the Hertfordshire County Council Website and selecting Free School Meals. Once in the free school meal section click on the tab that is relevant to the age of the child you are making an application for.

Please inform the school if the outcome of your application means your child/ren become eligible for free school meals.

Music Remission

Remission of all or part of music lessons available through Hertfordshire Music Service is an additional benefit available to families in receipt of certain ‘means tested’ benefits.
