Choir

The school choir is open to all children from years 4, 5 and 6 and takes place on Wednesdays from 3.15 to 4.30 pm in the main hall.

Children are taught a range of songs, often in two or even three part harmonies; some with opportunities for solo or small group singing.

We perform at a variety of school events throughout the year, so there is a strong focus on performance and following musical instructions.

Choir members are also invited to sing with about 8000 other children at the Young Voices Concert at the start of the spring term. This very long day trip to The O2 is a wonderful opportunity for the children to sing with special guest singers (such as Tony Hadley) and to enjoy performances from them, as well as from some excellent dancers. It is always a real highlight for the choir and they spend many months learning a wide range of songs and medleys in preparation for the concert.
